Our mission at Central Ohio Survivors Center is to provide a safe and supportive environment for survivors of torture, civil war, and abuse to heal, rebuild their lives, and thrive in their new community. We strive to offer holistic and culturally sensitive services that address the unique needs and challenges faced by survivors, promoting their well-being and empowerment.
COSC offers a wide range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of survivors.
We recognize the importance of cultural identity and the challenges of adapting to a new cultural environment. Our cultural integration programs provide language assistance, cultural orientation, and community engagement activities to help survivors feel connected and empowered in their new community.
Our licensed therapists specialize in trauma-informed care, offering individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs of survivors. We provide a safe space for survivors to explore their emotions, process their experiences, and develop coping strategies for healing and resilience.
We offer educational workshops and seminars on topics such as trauma recovery, self-care, human rights, and empowerment. These workshops provide survivors with valuable knowledge and skills to support their healing journey and promote personal growth and resilience.
